May 10-11 — Chicago, IL Realizing Maximum Value from Generation The rapidly emerging area of transactions involving two or more energy commodities is today’s leading edge in innovative energy hedging technologies. The energy business is a multiple fuel business with common dual-fuel concepts including Crack Spreads, Spark Spreads and Dark Spreads. This seminar explores these and other multi-fuel transaction structures in the form of swaps and options as well as dual-commodity physical supply structures (e.g. selling power indexed to natural gas prices). Particular attention will be focused on natural gas-power structures including Spark Spread derivatives, such as those embedded in generation capacity and heat rate options.

U glavnom gradu Spanije,Madridu, od 26. do 28. juna odrzace se, kako organizatori kazu, najveca konferencija uz pratecu izlozbu o prenosu i distribuciji elektricne energije na Starom kontinentu pod nazivom „Energetska mreza Evrope“. Organizatori ocekuju vise od deset hiljada ucesnika, a do sada se prijavilo više desetina svetski uglednih firmi iz oblasti prenosa i distribucije elektricne energije, gasa i prateće industrije kao što su Alstom, E.oN, Endesa, Hitaci, Simens, Micubiši, Škoda, Teksako, itd. Konferencija sa izložbom organizuje se u svetlu cinjenice da je ulaganje u prenos i distribuciju, posebno u zapadnoj Evropi, poslednjih godina izuzetno veliko, a planirani rast investicija u istocnoj i zapadnoj Evropi trebalo bi da bude još veći. Ocekuje se da će se do 2010. godine u Evropi ulaganje kapitala u industriju prenosa i distribucije povećati do gotovo neverovatnih 30 milijardi dolara, da će potražnja za opremom da bude vredna gotovo 25 milijardi dolara, a pretpostavlja se da će tražnja samo za transformatorima da bude u vrednosti pet milijardi dolara.
To su sajtovi dve konferencije koje ce biti odrzane u regionu Srednjeg Istoka (UAE). U ovom regionu je velika ekspanzija elektroenergetike, kao i svih drugih oblasti, i ucestvovanje na ovim konferencijam moze rezultovati sklopljenim poslovima.
